    Andrew Batt is an experienced CEO, CFO and Board Director with over 20 years working across multiple industry sectors in Australia, UK and Asia. After leaving the corporate world 9 years ago, he began consulting as a Virtual CFO to small-medium enterprises and the Not For Profit sector. He was appointed as the CEO of bellabox, Australasia’s leading beauty subscription service, 3 years ago.

    Established in 2011, bellabox is the market leading beauty box, featuring cosmetics, skincare, fragrances and accessories. For less than $20 a per month, subscribers enjoy an individualised beauty box tailored to their skin, hair type and personal preferences. “It’s truly affordable luxury,” says co-founder Sarah Hamilton. There is also a new mum’s (bellababy) and men’s (bellobox) offering.

    In his time as CEO, Andrew has expanded the subscription offering to include New Zealand as well as offering Limited Edition themed boxes and more recently a ‘Welcome to Wellness’ quarterly subscription box.  Of equal importance, he believes in empowering the team to take ownership within their role and being active in the business successes.  This is underpinned by open and honest communication and developing capability and capacity within a young, highly capable team.

    Andrew’s core skills are in leadership, business strategy, management reporting including key business drivers such as churn and cost per acquisition, corporate governance and risk. He understands the importance of balancing technology and people, in particular for subscription businesses. In fact, bellabox has gone through a complete systems overhaul over the past 18 months. 

    At the time of writing this bio Andrew is spending a week in Nepal supporting the 9th World Park Ranger Congress as part of his role on the Board of The Thin Green Line Foundation. Andrew is proud to help Protect Nature’s Protectors."

Carolyn’s work within Braintree a PayPal Service, eBay, Vodafone, and Telstra has seen her sharpen her sales, marketing, and leadership expertise, as well as her knowledge in conversion, payments and digital transformation.

    Carolyn’s effervescent personality has naturally enabled her to become a sought-after keynote speaker locally and internationally.     Emmanuel (Manny) heads up the Legal Team and is a Practice Group Leader in the Commercial Contracts team, at LegalVision (2017 and 2019 New Law Firm of the Year at the Australian Law Awards). As Head of Legal, Manny manages a team of Practice Leaders (partner equivalent) and oversees the growth and performance of the Legal Team (over 60 lawyers), while maintaining the firm's client-centric and quality-driven approach. Manny's expertise is in the drafting, review and negotiation of procurement, ICT and general commercial contracts. Manny also has experience working with developers, contractors, operators, service providers and government clients on small, medium and large-scale building & construction projects (both commercial and residential).

    With over 2 decades in enterprise software across Asia and Europe, Roz built the Microsoft LAR business at TSG Australia (later acquired by Data3), then went on to lead strategic alliances at Telstra and Broadvision (Europe).

    She then moved into technology transformation running programs for global enterprises such as British American Tobacco and ASX100-listed UGL before taking an executive role in workforce engagement at UGL, whilst juggling children (3 under 5) and founding and Chairing the Rainy Day Foundation (drought relief charity aligned with the DPI and Salvation Army).

    Currently leading the Customer Success and Transformation team at Pivotal, she is helping Asia's largest organisations transform the way they build and run software and remains busy learning from her customers (and family!)

    Michael Higgins has extensive experience in the automotive industry, having previously held roles both with Subaru Australia in dealership management and strategy, and with Inchcape, the largest dealership group globally, in its retail business.

    Prior to these roles, Michael worked in franchising at Mortgage Choice. He has a Bachelor of Business from the University of Technology Sydney.

    Recognising digital technology has the potential to change business for the better, Michael created a new model with elder brother Paul to fundamentally change the way used cars are bought and sold in Australia, focusing on a better customer experience, greater convenience and transparency.

    Alexander Robinson is co-founder of Airly, Australia's first private membership air travel subscription service.

    Passionate about aviation since his childhood, Alexander’s first job was sweeping hangar floors, cleaning aircraft, and gapping spark plugs during school vacations at a local flight training school.  After high school he spent six years in the Royal Australian Air Force undergoing pilot training.  Alexander left aviation for several years to work in business development with Caterpillar Inc., but the lure proved too strong and in 2015 Alexander and Luke founded an aviation technology start-up, Airly. 

    Airly has gone through a number of changes since inception, but the membership & subscription platform basis has remained constant.  Alexander is excited about sharing lessons from successes and failures at Subscription Summit 2020.  When not flying or thinking about flying, Alexander enjoys running, writing, and spending time with his family.

    Born and bred in Dublin Ireland I came through the ranks of UCD getting my Masters Degree in International Relations. I then went into event management creating Ireland's first scare attraction as well as running corporate hospitality for some of Ireland's premier sporting events with The Hospitality Partnership. I did a couple of years in Indeed selling into national accounts before I chucked it all in for the good life of startups.

    I moved to Australia in 2017 to head up the Business Development effort at ConX, a construction technology company offering a suite of affordable and easy to use tools that help SME construction contractors to quote on jobs, win work and hire a team around them. We launched our subscription model in March 2019 and at the time of writing have 2,000+ active users on various plans.
